Last year you couldn't get a costume on Anthony but this year it was the Bumble Bee Transformer. He is pictured here with his friend Payton. Also the guy with the tattoos has a big smile.
Anthony picked out the one he wanted. At 3 he carries this one much like his mother did at the same age I have a picture where she is carrying a pumpkin much the same size
We had some cold weather Clayton and Julie's place in Meadow Vista got a foot of snow. At our place we had snow on the pond and the lawns were white with snow.
In September the community where the old folks live had a 10 yr. celebration including this parade. And so the little ones waved and smiled the entire route.
I got these outfits when the twins were born. We didn't have the time. We were just to tired taking care of the two of them to even think about pictures. Finally at 3 months we found the time to take the pictures. The outfits barely fit they were growing out of them. Once they were both awake and happy we were ready.
Julie packed up the kids and we all went for a hike along the American River. It was a couple of gravelly miles and I almost slipped off the trail going around a bend. Alexis had no problems and neither did the twins. Me, I spun out. Lunch was good and the river beautiful.
Ashton is 2.5 mons. old and weighs in at over 14 pounds. He is holding his head up except when he bobbing to the music. Like his daddy he is ruled by his tummy. A gas bubble is the worse pain in his life and he is willing to share his misery with everyone within earshot.
Alea is now a little over 2 mos. and weighs over 12 pounds. Still a little cranky with the burping and sleeping through the night. I am told but growing like a weed.
He is has found that we wants to sleep on his left side. Like his father feeding is a special time and any gas bubble is distressing. At night I am told he can be long and hardy complainer about a gas bubble. I know from experience he is a slow feeder by day, I don't envy momma's night duty.
The older she gets, and in a few days it will be a month, her unique personality shines. Here she is getting ready for a feeding so the stretching and yawning gently brings her up and ready to let everyone know it is time for momma to show up.
Got a shot of these babies, they are nesting near by. It seems this brood has only a dad, he brings them by twice a day for a snack at our sunflower bird feeder. This was the mid-day feeding. I wonder what happened to the pea hen and the rest of the little ones.
Now, Alea if we stick together we can get whatever we want. Look, all they want now is for us to open our eyes. Keep them shut just a little longer maybe someone will pick us up.
Well, well, well do I ever have my hands full. I don't have a hand to scratch my nose or theirs. Ashton like his NUK not so Alea. Both of these little ones fuss only a little and settle down as soon as they are held. Who has who trained.
Anthony is 3 Alexis with be 3 in October. These cousins play well together. They will make you tired just watching the antics. It is a Monkey See......... Monkey Do........ and our warm summers has them playing outside early and long into the day.
Alea is a little more petite at 7-3 oz and 19 inches long. She was on the bottom. Now that she is free of Ashton sitting on her. She grunts and stretches those legs awake and asleep, her mouth opens and that tiny tongue is moving about. She scrunches up that little face while she is sleeping. Julie says she jumped and kicked throughout the entire pregnancy.
NOTE the length of those finger nails it says these babies were definitely full term
This is Ashton's first photo op. A little sleepy but "Here's looking at ya" Weighing in at 7-12 oz and 20 inches long. He was the twin on the top with more room to lay back and stretch out.
