Halloween brings silliness out in the kids

Last year you couldn't get a costume on Anthony but this year it was the Bumble Bee Transformer. He is pictured here with his friend Payton. Also the guy with the tattoos has a big smile.

Halloween brings out the best in us

Anthony picked out the one he wanted. At 3 he carries this one much like his mother did at the same age I have a picture where she is carrying a pumpkin much the same size

They are 6 months in November

Clayton sends these little pictures. They both will stand

It got cold in December

We had some cold weather Clayton and Julie's place in Meadow Vista got a foot of snow. At our place we had snow on the pond and the lawns were white with snow.

Sleeping and Playing in the yard

This proved to be a good way to keep the little ones safe while in the yard

Alexis Birthday produced paints

One of the gifts Lexi got for her 3rd birthday were these paints. It seemed that Lexi had a good time and the other two liked watching.

Their first parade

In September the community where the old folks live had a 10 yr. celebration including this parade. And so the little ones waved and smiled the entire route.

Picture in matching outfits

I got these outfits when the twins were born. We didn't have the time. We were just to tired taking care of the two of them to even think about pictures. Finally at 3 months we found the time to take the pictures. The outfits barely fit they were growing out of them. Once they were both awake and happy we were ready.

Went for a hike

Julie packed up the kids and we all went for a hike along the American River. It was a couple of gravelly miles and I almost slipped off the trail going around a bend. Alexis had no problems and neither did the twins. Me, I spun out. Lunch was good and the river beautiful.

Swimming and having fun

We went to the Folsom swim park. Anthony loves the water. He is taking swimming lessons now. A swimmer in the making.

Fast shooter

You can see here who is the better shot and steps lively out of range.

Alexis and Daddy who takes a cheap shot

It is hard to know which one is the kid here!

Ashton not only looks bigger, he is bigger

Ashton is 2.5 mons. old and weighs in at over 14 pounds. He is holding his head up except when he bobbing to the music. Like his daddy he is ruled by his tummy. A gas bubble is the worse pain in his life and he is willing to share his misery with everyone within earshot.

Getting bigger and studying every move

Alea is now a little over 2 mos. and weighs over 12 pounds. Still a little cranky with the burping and sleeping through the night. I am told but growing like a weed.

Ashton is bigger

He is has found that we wants to sleep on his left side. Like his father feeding is a special time and any gas bubble is distressing. At night I am told he can be long and hardy complainer about a gas bubble. I know from experience he is a slow feeder by day, I don't envy momma's night duty.

Alea in a onezee

The older she gets, and in a few days it will be a month, her unique personality shines.  Here she is getting ready for a feeding so the stretching and yawning gently brings her up and ready to let everyone know it is time for momma to show up.

Baby Quail in the backyard

Got a shot of these babies, they are nesting near by. It seems this brood has only a dad, he brings them by twice a day for a snack at our sunflower bird feeder. This was the mid-day feeding. I wonder what happened to the pea hen and the rest of the little ones.

The Julie and Clayton Guiraud Children

One day they are babies and then you turn around and they are toddlers. Alexis is 30 months. THE BIG SISTER and ruler over all things....

Alea and Ashton making plans

Now, Alea if we stick together we can get whatever we want. Look, all they want now is for us to open our eyes. Keep them shut just a little longer maybe someone will pick us up.

I have my hands full

Well, well, well do I ever have my hands full. I don't have a hand to scratch my nose or theirs. Ashton like his NUK not so Alea. Both of these little ones fuss only a little and settle down as soon as they are held. Who has who trained.

Julie, Clayton, Alexis and the twins

This picture should been posted before the babies were born but I am adding it now. Julie was 36 weeks. Felicia took it and many more.  I like it too!

Alexis and Anthony

Anthony is 3 Alexis with be 3 in October. These cousins play well together. They will make you tired just watching the antics. It is a Monkey See......... Monkey Do........ and our warm summers has them playing outside early and long into the day.

Alea

Alea is a little more petite at 7-3 oz and 19 inches long. She was on the bottom. Now that she is free of Ashton sitting on her. She grunts and stretches those legs awake and asleep, her mouth opens and that tiny tongue is moving about. She scrunches up that little face while she is sleeping. Julie says she jumped and kicked throughout the entire pregnancy.
NOTE the length of those finger nails it says these babies were definitely full term

Ashton

This is Ashton's first photo op. A little sleepy but "Here's looking at ya" Weighing in at 7-12 oz and 20 inches long. He was the twin on the top with more room to lay back and stretch out.
